For producers & shippers
Your load, your name on the paperwork
When crude, condensate, or produced water leaves your lease, you're the hazmat shipper. Classification, shipping papers, the emergency phone number, and offeror training are on you, and so is the citation when they're wrong. We keep your side right and your carriers in line.
Shipping paper review
We check your bill of lading templates for the right basic description, shipper's certification, and emergency contact, and fix what's missing.
24/7 emergency number setup
Your emergency response provider registration, contract number placement, and current product info on file before anything ships.
Classification support
Help documenting how you classify crude and condensate, including sampling and packing group, so your papers hold up in an audit.
Offeror training
Function-specific hazmat training for lease operators, pumpers, and anyone who signs shipping papers, with 3-year records kept for you.
Carrier vetting & monitoring
Before you hire a tanker carrier we check authority, safety scores, insurance, and hazmat registration, then keep watching and alert you to changes.
Pickup spot checks
We check the trucks loading at your sites: attendance, papers, emergency response info, placards, and ERG edition.
Free cab check
We spend about 15 minutes per truck and leave you a one-page red, yellow, green report: ERG edition, emergency number and contract number on the papers, papers within reach, placards and ID numbers, dropped-trailer markings, and driver training records. No cost, no obligation.

Starting a carrier?
Get your trucking company started right
New owner-operators get buried in filings, deadlines and sales calls the day their USDOT number goes public. We walk you through every step in the right order, tell you which filings are free, and get you ready for the safety audit every new carrier faces in its first 18 months.
Set up the business
LLC, EIN, bank account and bookkeeping. We point out what's free so you don't pay someone else to file it.
Federal filings
USDOT number, operating authority, BOC-3, insurance on file with FMCSA, and UCR, in the order that gets you active fastest.
Plates, taxes and safety
IRP and IFTA, Form 2290, drug and alcohol consortium, Clearinghouse, your own driver file and ELD.
Audit-ready
A practice new-entrant audit around month six, a fix list, and help on audit day.
Startup package
Your custom checklist built from your answers, every filing walked through step by step, and a complete file of everything you've done.
New-entrant audit prep
We review your drug and alcohol program, driver file, hours of service, maintenance and insurance the way FMCSA will, and give you the fix list first.
Stay-current plan
Renewal reminders, yearly filings, Clearinghouse queries, IFTA deadlines and hazmat training for your first 18 months and beyond.
Hauling fuel, crude or other hazmat?
We add the hazmat pieces: H, N or X endorsement, PHMSA registration, hazmat safety permit check, insurance at the right level, and the training records you need before your first load.

Fleet tracker
Know what expires before an inspector does
Every credential, vehicle inspection, and cargo tank test with a due date, sorted by urgency. Items due within 30 days turn amber; anything past due turns red.
| Status | Driver / unit | Item | Rule | Expires | Days left |
|---|
Cargo tank tests: enter the month and year marked on the tank, and the tracker sets the due date to the end of the month the next test is due. Intervals fill in with the most common ones from § 180.407(c). Change them if your tank's specification or cargo calls for a different one.

About Milepost
Built by someone who's been in the truck business
I'm Jamie, the founder of Milepost Compliance. I've been in trucking since I was about 22, when we bought our first truck. Since then I've learned this business the way most people do: one filing, one inspection and one audit at a time.
I started Milepost to put everything I've learned in one easy-to-use place. Whether you're buying your first truck or running a fleet of tankers, you shouldn't have to piece together the rules from a dozen websites. We keep you current, keep your records ready and tell you what's coming before it's due.
